Midwifery-led evidence-based prenatal care uses a holistic approach, focusing on supporting pregnancy as a natural physiologic process for those with a low-risk pregnancy by providing routine prenatal care and lab testing throughout to support pregnancy as a natural physiologic process.

 

The Birth Center

The birth center offers a supportive atmosphere for expectant parents seeking an emphasis on the natural birthing process. The environment is designed to be home-like, prioritizing comfort and a sense of calm over a clinical hospital setting. This design choice is intentional, as the entire focus of a birth center is on the physiologic birth, trusting the body's natural ability to labor and birth with minimal medical interventions. A birth center ensures safety through robust quality assurance programs and a strong partnership with EMS.
For reference, Beacon is strategically located 1.1 miles from St. Joseph’s College Station Hospital, which offers close proximity, should a higher level of care be necessary.

Wellness

Midwifery care offers comprehensive gynecological health, sexual and reproductive health, and family planning services.

Women’s Health

Annual wellness care and preventative health visits for women across the lifespan. Addressing gynecologic concerns including diagnosis, treatment, and referral as indicated. Using a shared decision making model of care to guide women through contraceptive counseling and family planning services.

Preconception Care and Future Fertility

This care model includes health promotion, disease prevention, risk assessment and management, and individualized wellness education and counseling. These services are provided in partnership with individuals and families with a focus on preconception and fertility care including ovulation induction.

Hormone Therapy

Hormone therapy treatment for menopausal women.

Informative classes taught by lactation consultants.
